The Pella Car Care of today started with one technician looking for a better way. Jeff Van Sant was a very accomplished technician at a local General Motors dealership. The dealership world seemed to consider the service department as a necessary, but not important, part of the customer experience. Jeff found himself with aspirations of providing a dealership alternative for customers. The dealership alternative vision grew to include improvements for himself, customers & future employees.

Jeff & Pam Van Sant started the Pella Car Care known today in 1994. Making customers the priority helped Pella Car Care grow from one technician’s vision into the 10 bay 7000 square foot facility utilized today. Jeff & Pam owned and operated Pella Car Care as they raised their two daughters, Ashley & Amanda, in the Pella community.

In 2008, Austin Crase joined the Pella Car Care team as a service advisor. He came to the team with experience in customer service and sales. Austin has always had an interest & found enjoyment in vehicles. Soon after he joined the team, Jeff & Austin came to realize how well their values aligned. Both men agreed that integrity & honesty were top priorities in the automotive service & repair industry. They shared a goal to provide exceptional & convenient automotive service with the highest level of quality to customers, along with a positive team-oriented environment for employees.

Jeff & Austin established a succession plan for Austin to purchase the business when Jeff was ready for the next chapter of his story. In 2018, the next chapter had arrived for Jeff & Pam as they moved to Madison, Wisconsin to be near their adult children and growing families.

Since the beginning of 2018, Austin & Wendy Crase have owned & operated Pella Car Care. Austin & Wendy continue to uphold the values and care that built this company. Austin & Wendy live in the Pella community with their young family, including three children, Mckenna, Witten & Landry.
